It’s actually simpler than you might think. After all, if you automate the opening and closing of the toilet for when people approach and leave, there’s only one part of the toilet that really needs to be cleaned.
Now this is definitely a technology public bathrooms desperately need, especially in the U.S. where I live.
Want a toilet like this in your home? Check out the NeoRest, which not only self-cleans and automates the lifting and lowering of the seat, but also warms the seat and even helps you clean up while you’re still sitting on it. Not bad, eh?
I had the pleasure of watching the Live Earth concerts on NBC tonight. It was pretty cool to see three hours of TV in which the majority of the material was pro-Earth, pro-environment, pro-love, and highlighting problems and showing possible solutions without resorting to violence or sex to make it “entertaining.” Read on…

Let me first start off by saying that I am not a Muslim nor was I raised in an Islamic environment. That said, I recently read two totally unrelated articles that really clarified the Islamic perspective for me. What is it about Islam that is so powerful and draws so many people to it? We know Gandhi as a great figure in history. But after having seen the movie “Gandhi” and having learned more about him, there is something about his thinking that is not very often seen today that I see as crucial to harmony between humans. A copy of Microsoft Office 2007 costs over $300 as of this writing. Sure, you can use another lesser program like WordPad to write documents. But everybody has Microsoft Office, and WordPad won’t give you spreadsheets and database functions—or PowerPoint presentations. What’s a broke computer user to do? Read on…

The thing about life is that, as much as we know about what is needed to sustain it, we haven’t got a clue as to what led to the quantum leap from inanimate element compounds to microorganisms, plants, and animals. Something (or, if you prefer, somebody) had to have made it happen. Read on…
Can people form relationships without ever even meeting, talking on the phone, or even chatting with each other?
In today’s world? Yeah! Read on…
Some people might call me an agnostic, though, because I don’t profess to know the form of God, or what concept of God is the “right” one. I certainly am doubtful about literal interpretations of the Biblical creation story, and when it comes to human evolution versus Adam and Eve, I would definitely go with the theory of human evolution.
